It's time!
So, the ultrasound on Thursday measured Mr. Grant at 10lbs 7oz. yikes!! I had an appointment this morning with the doctor and he scheduled me for a c-section on Monday at 8:00 a.m. Mike is flying and will be home late Saturday night. We have few last minute things to take care of but we are pretty much ready to welcome our not-so-little guy in to the world.
We will make sure we post lots of hospital pics!!

Update...
Just left the Dr. office and still nothing! I am measuring 42 weeks ( I'm actually 39). I'm scheduled for an ultrasound tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. If Grant is bigger than 9lbs 6oz, we will be scheduled for c-section.
I'll post his size tomorrow!!

and we will wait some more...
We had an appointment on Wednesday and still no progress ! Grant seems content to hang out in my belly...Mike says he enjoying his time in the"hot tub" :)
Meanwhile, I am ready to serve eviction papers!! We have another appointment on Wednesday and the Dr. says we will probably go for another ultrasound next week to verify his size again. The Dr is still concerned that he is big and a c-section is still a possibility. I will be 39 weeks on Thursday and I don't think the doctor is going to let me go past 40, mostly because of his expected size.
I decided to stop working after our last appointment and it has been really nice to be at home. Mike has been taking AWESOME care of me. He's making Olive Garden runs and helping me tie my shoes! He's really been amazing!
Oh, and Aunt Linda's story of getting stuck in the couch means so much more now...You don't realize how hard is to get off a couch when your center of gravity is so far out of whack!! Good thing Mike was home to help me out
Stay tuned for the next update!!

Keep on waiting...
We saw Dr. Ambro today for the 36 week check and he said he feels Grant is in the 80% for size and he isn't concerned about fluid levels or growth restriction. He doesn't want to change the due date to the estimated date from last weeks ultrasound. Dr. said he thinks I'll be pregnant for "awhile".... It's good news that the Dr. isn't talking about inducing early or a c-section but the bad news is we have a few more weeks of waiting!!
We are getting so excited and impatient! We will keep everyone posted about any changes. Next check up is next wednesday!
Love Jess and Mike ( and Grant!)

Swallowing a watermelon...
So, We had our scheduled 35 week appointment last Thursday. Everything was looking great; my blood pressure was fine, I maintained my weight and Baby Grant is moving like crazy. Dr. Ambro measured my belly and I was measuring 39 weeks!! He asked me if I had swallowed a watermelon :)
Dr. was a little concerned about how big Grant seemed so he sent us for an ultrasound on Friday. Turns out Grant is ready to be a linebacker! He weighs 7lbs 4 oz( he should be about 6lbs). The Ultrasound tech gave me a new adjusted due date of February 24th!
We will see Dr. Ambro again on Thursday and he'll let us know what the options are. So far, he as talked about me going for a few more weeks and then delivering by c-section. I really don't want a c-section so I'll have to do my best negotiating when I seem him later this week!
